When Should I Arrive At The Location For My Coastal Adventure Tour?
It is VERY important that you are at the marina and checked in at least 30-minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. The tour cannot depart on time if you are late and you risk not being able to go at your scheduled time. Please allow time for parking and to visit the restroom facilities before checking in at the desk. PLEASE NOTE: Sunset Tours change during the season, your guide should call you by 3PM about your departure time.
What Happens If It Rains Or In The Case Of Bad Weather?
Welcome to the Carolinas, inclement weather is part of the adventure. We will go out in light rain but not in dangerous conditions like high winds or lightning. Winds in excess of 18 mph from the East or West may create dangerous and uncomfortable conditions, Carolinas Coastal Adventure Tours LLC reserves the right to cancel/reschedule a tour at any time. Dangerous weather conditions is the reason most tours are canceled. In the event of a cancelation on our part for any reason you will be rescheduled or receive a gift certificate for the amount paid that never expires. All sales are final and there are no refunds!
Do I need to Tip my Guide?
It is not required but expected. Guides work for tips. Each guide works hard to provide you with a great experience. There is also a lot of cleaning and maintenance that goes on behind the scenes to make sure you have a clean and well maintained boat. Tips are are like hugs..... without the awkward body contact. 15% to 20% is customary. Our philosophy is, "tip your tour guide, not your boat!

Will I Get Wet On The Tour?
The simple answer is "YES!" You will be on a fast moving boat very close to the water. Even in the calmest conditions the chances of getting a little wet are very good. Dress accordingly. Bathing suits are the most practical clothing option for the boats. We will encourage you to leave your shoes at the dock or place them in the dry box.
REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY
All reservations for Carolinas Coastal Adventure Tour LLC require full payment at the time of booking. If your plans change, you may modify your reservation up to 7 days prior to the original date of your scheduled tour. Tour date/time modifications are subject to availability. ALL sales are final and tickets are non-refundable for no shows and cancellations within 72-hrs of scheduled tour. There are no refunds! No shows will be charged in full and no refunds or tour credits will be given. It is your responsibility to make sure that you are at the docks on time. There are no refunds for inability to complete a tour without the group. A gift certificate will be issued if a tour guide returns a group prior to entering the Shallotte Inlet due to inclement weather.
Is The Posted Price A Per Person Charge Or A Per Boat Charge?
The posted price for guided tours is per boat plus applicable state sales tax for any guided tour. (Gratuities not included) There is a maximum of 2 riders per boat. We reserve the right to run promotions from time-to-time which may change the posted price per person to a lower price. The price per boat is $250.00 plus tax.
How Old Do You Have To Be To Drive The CatBoat?
You must be 21 years old to drive the boat but only 5 years old to ride (with a parent).

When Is The Best Time To Take An Adventure Tour?
Weekdays provide the best opportunities with less boat traffic on the waterways increasing your chances of viewing wildlife. Holidays and weekends can be very busy! The 9:00 AM departure on any day is the least likely to be canceled due to inclement weather. The Sunset Tour is also a fantastic option if you are looking for calm waters. If you do NOT want to go fast then please do not choose the 3PM tour.
Are Pets Allowed?
As much as we love our four-legged friends we strongly suggest not bringing them along on the boat. The ride can be bumpy at times and weather subject to change. We would be deeply concerned for the safety of your pet. If you choose to bring your SERVICE pet we assume no liability.
Are The Boats Safe?
The boats are designed not only for fun but with safety in mind. These boats have high density foam pontoons making it virtually unsinkable. Secondly, they turn in such a way as to never flip over. All safety equipment is included and on-board each boat. We teach first time boaters to navigate the boats with great success!
Our boats are all brand new CraigCats fresh off the factory floor. Our maintenance program is top notch ensuring the best possible mechanical conditions.
How Old Must You Be To Go On The CatBoat Tour Adventure?
You must be at least 5 years of age and accompanied by an adult who is a qualified operator to participate in the tour.
How Do I Pay For My Reservation?

What Should I Bring?
Pack small! Small items such as sunscreen, phones, wallets and keys usually fit into the built in drybox on each boat. Some guests typically bring towels and place them on the seat. We highly recommend bringing water with you to stay hydrated during the tour and you are more than welcome to bring other drinks (non-alcoholic) and snacks as well! Beach attire is normally the best attire depending on the weather. Be sure to check the forecast/temperatures before heading out the door in case you may need a light jacket!
Are Alcoholic Beverages Permitted?
NO! NO! and NO! Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited on the Carolinas Coastal Adventure Tour. Intoxicated persons will not be allowed to participate in the tour.
Is There A Restroom Break During The Tour?
Unfortunately, there is not. We suggest using the restrooms before leaving on your adventure.
Is There A Weight Limit?
Yes, there is a 250 lb maximum per person weight limit. This limit is put forward by the manufacturer for safety purposes.

Why Do We Have To Sign A Waiver?
For everybody’s safety, Carolinas Coastal Adventure Tours is required to have a Release and Waiver Liability Form signed by each guest. A Parental Consent Agreement is also required for minors.
